What is Ventoy?

Ventoyis an open source software used to create bootable flash drives from various ISO, WIM, IMG, VHD(x), and EFI files. One of Ventoy's advantages is the ability to store several image files in one flash drive.

Unlike the conventional bootable method, users do not need to format the flash repeatedly every time they want to replace the ISO file. Once Ventoy is installed, the user simply copies the ISO file to the flash drive, then selects the file he wants to run through the boot menu.

Ventoy Key Features

1. Creating a Multiboot USB

Ventoy allows users to store multiple ISO files in a single flash drive. For example, users can store Windows, Linux installers, and various bootable utilities in a single USB device.

2. No Need for Recurring Formats

After the initial installation, the ISO file can be copied to a flash drive just like copying a regular file. This makes managing various installers more practical.

3. Supports Multiple Image Formats

Ventoy supports ISO, WIM, IMG, VHD(x), and EFI. The support makes it useful for various computer installation and maintenance needs.

4. Boot Menu to Select ISO

When the computer boots through the Ventoy flash drive, the user can select the image he wants to run from the available menu.

5. Supports Various Operating Systems

Ventoy supports a wide variety of operating systems, including Windows, Linux, ChromeOS, Unix, and other compatible systems. The official website also lists testing of more than 1,400 image files.
